Our company In the spring of 2017, the time had come: the AROMAWERK brand was launched. In order to establish the company, the right business location had to be found. What seemed easy at first, later turned out to be a challenge. As Bernese, we wanted to locate the company in Bern. Various concepts for old town cellars, factory and warehouse space were created until the right opportunity finally arose for Sulgenrain in August 2017. Our company Aromawerk GmbH could finally be founded. The business premises - the future gourmet monastery - were then remodeled and renovated with a lot of passion.

Current coffee culture Our company Aromawerk GmbH was founded by Lukas Muheim, Matthias Kiener and Daniel Schmutz. We love good quality coffee - with AROMAWERK the exciting, ingenious and versatile natural product "coffee" should become an experience. In our latitudes, ordering a coffee after dinner is one of our practices - as is consuming a morning coffee as a wake-up call. Experience has shown that coffee is "simply" drunk. Mostly, coffee is the only way to distinguish whether it tastes good or not. Some distinguish between strong and weak, but very few try to identify the different flavors of coffee prepared.

Evolution of the founders In the beginning, it was no different for us. Independently, long before Aromawerk GmbH was founded, we became more and more interested in the flavor nuances, body and character of coffee. Later, we took a closer look at different growing regions and thus the different coffee flavors, and suddenly we were right in the middle of the topic. The more we learned about coffee, the more coffee consumption became a disappointment rather than a pleasure. Really good coffee could only be consumed in a few bars.

Our goal With AROMAWERK, we have therefore set ourselves the goal of promoting coffee culture and raising awareness of good and sustainable coffee. The goal is to offer a coffee experience that goes far beyond just drinking coffee.

AROMAWERK not only produces coffee, but also offers a wide range of coffee-related services.
