The 100-year history of the Restaurant Thurberg.

The Thurberg estate has been family-owned since 1898, and the restaurant has been in existence since 1910.

In 1898, farmer Julius Häberlin acquired the Thurberg vineyard in Heimen-Lachen. His son Ernst built the buildings that exist today with an inn, which opened in 1910.

In 1934 Franz and Olga Breitenmoser-Häberlin took over the estate. The Thurberg thus remained in the family.

From 1971 Hansruedi and Alice Breitenmoser-Hürlimann managed the house on the Thurberg. In 1973 a beautiful hall was added towards the west and the terrace was renovated and extended.

Since 1992 Daniel and Jrene Franz-Breitenmoser have been running the excursion restaurant, which they acquired in 1995.

At any time of the year, the Thurberg is a worthwhile destination. In winter, when the fog covers the Thur valley and there is bright sunshine on the Ottenberg. And even more so in summer, when the view sweeps over vineyards, green meadows and over to the Alpstein with the Säntis.

We will be happy to spoil you on our sun terrace or in our garden under the old chestnut trees with delicacies with the most beautiful view!

Our cuisine is full of ideas and balanced. We use only fresh products for the preparation of the dishes.
Our interior design offers you the possibility to dine à la carte in a small circle, to enjoy a business dinner in a quiet atmosphere, to make your family celebration unforgettable in a dignified atmosphere or to celebrate your special company event. Of course we also offer you a small snack in our restaurant. In the garden and on our terrace we will spoil you with refined dishes in summer. Do not forget to ask us about our exquisite wine offer.
